About Me

One movie can change how someone views the world. One TV show can shape how someone acts or dresses. One commercial can bring laughter, knowledge, or hope into someone’s life. The media we consume every day affects us and I want to be apart of that discovery.

Growing up in a small town outside of Detroit I took STEM classes, performed with the marching band, and loved English class. In fact, my first experience with filmmaking was the final project of my senior AP Literature class. I made a series of short videos rewriting the ending of literary classics. I wrote, directed, and edited them. Of course, looking back now, they are absolutely horrendous, but they set off a spark in me.

I didn’t know what I wanted to do before that, but from that movement on I wanted to study film. I wanted to create works that make people think, that make people explore ideas, that make people dream as those books I focused on do.

As a producer, I work to make stories and projects come to life. It’s the budgets, schedules, locations, and various other planning needs that allow a project to be a success. I specialize in the details so everyone working on set can focus on what’s really important; creating a piece that moves people, whether it’s a social media ad or a feature-length film. A mentor once told me, “good luck is the result of good planning” and I am that good planner. Of course, she randomly read it on a fortune cookie one day, but it just goes to show, one instance, one experience, one story can affect everything.
